Counselor Settings

Access Settings by clicking the ⚙️ gear icon in the sidebar or your profile photo.

Profile tab

Update your professional profile:
  • Photo — upload a clear, professional headshot (square, min 400×400px)
  • Display name — the name students see on their dashboard
  • Bio — a short professional description (shown on your counselor card)
  • Specialisations — the destinations or student types you focus on
  • Languages spoken
  • Phone number — for student contact
Click Save changes when done.

Availability tab

Set your working hours so students know when to expect responses:
  • Working days — toggle each day on/off
  • Working hours — set your start and end time per day
  • Out of office — set a date range and message when you are away

Notifications tab

Control which notifications you receive:
  • New message — notify when a student messages you
  • Task completed — notify when a student marks a task as done
  • Document uploaded — notify when a student uploads a document
  • New lead assigned — notify when a new lead is assigned to you
Toggle each on/off. You can also choose whether to receive notifications by:
  • In-app — red dot on the bell icon
  • Email — sent to your IEC email address

Greeting message tab

Customise the welcome message students see when they first open the chat/support section. This is your first automated response:
  1. Go to Settings → Greeting.
  2. Edit the message text.
  3. Click Save.
Example:
“Hi! I’m Sarah, your dedicated IEC counselor. Feel free to message me any time with questions about your applications. I typically respond within 4 business hours.”

Security tab

  • Change password — enter current password, then new password twice
  • Connected accounts — see which devices are signed in
  • Delete account — contact your administrator if you need this option
