Managing Leads
Leads are prospective students who have expressed interest in IEC’s services but are not yet enrolled. The Leads section helps you track them through your sales pipeline until they become active students.Lead pipeline stages
Leads move through the following stages:| Stage | What it means |

| New | Just created — not yet contacted |
| Contacted | Initial outreach made |
| Qualified | Interest confirmed, basic details gathered |
| Consultation Booked | A meeting is scheduled |
| Proposal Sent | Programme recommendations sent to the lead |
| Enrolled | Converted — student has signed up |
| Lost | Lead went elsewhere or is no longer interested |
Creating a new lead
- Click Leads in the sidebar.
- Click + New Lead in the top right.
- Fill in:
- Name (required)
- Email (required)
- Phone (with country code)
- Source — where the lead came from (website, referral, event, etc.)
- Destination interest — which country they want to study in
- Budget range
- Click Save.
Moving a lead through the pipeline
- Open the lead by clicking on their name.
- Click the current status badge at the top of the lead record.
- Select the new stage from the dropdown.
- Add a note explaining the stage change (optional but recommended).
Converting a lead to a student
When a lead is ready to enrol:- Open the lead record.
- Click Convert to Student.
- A student account invitation will be sent to their email address automatically.
- The lead record is archived and linked to the new student record.
Lead notes and activity log
Every lead has a Notes tab and an Activity Log:- Notes — free-form notes visible only to counselors and admins
- Activity log — an automatic record of every action taken on the lead
Filtering and searching leads
Use the search bar and filter button to find leads by:- Name or email
- Stage
- Source
- Assigned counselor
- Date range
